About The Trust

The Notts Supporters' Trust is a democratic non-profit organisation that is totally independent of Notts County FC. Equally it is not affiliated in any way to SNAG, The Pie or any other organisation, it is totally independent. Some of the main aims of the Trust were confirmed by its members on the 4th April 2003 as :

to strengthen the bonds between the Club and the community which it serves and to represent the interests of the community in the running of the Club;
to benefit present and future members of the community served by the Club by promoting encouraging and furthering the game of football as a recreational facility, sporting activity and focus for community involvement;
to encourage the Club to take proper account of the interests of its supporters and of the community it serves in its decisions;
to encourage and promote the principle of supporter representation on the board of any company owning or controlling the Club and ultimately to be the vehicle for democratic elections to the board;

The Trust is an Industrial and Provident Society (no. 29559 R), regulated by the Registrar of Friendly Societies. As such it will operate in a totally democratic and transparent manner, and is open to participation by anyone interested in the long-term success of the club.

The Registered Office of the Trust is: Notts County Supporters Trust, Notts County FC, Meadow Lane, Nottingham NG2 3HJ.

Supporter's Trusts have had significant success at other clubs, most notably at Chesterfield and Bury where they have been instrumental in the survival of the football club. There are now at least 71 Trusts in England & Wales. Their involvement varies from having representation on the board of Directors in 36 separate clubs to holding a financial stake in the club in a fair number of cases. Most importantly in all situations the Trust is consulted and seen as a factor in the decision making process and a direct communication link to the supporters.
