Iranian Earthquake Collection - Cheque Presentation - 25th March 2004The presentation of the cheque for the £452.59 collected by the Supporters Trust was made at an event at the Council House in Nottingham on Thursday 25th March. The evening was arranged by the organisers of the Iran Earthquake Appeal - Nottingham. Present were members of local community groups and local businesses, including the Asian Women's Project and local radio station Radio Fazar. The meeting was also attended by Mr Bashar Doust, Councillor/Senior Official at the Iranian Embassy in London, the Lord Mayor of Nottingham Cllr. Brent Charlesworth, City Cllr. Mohammed Munir and the Appeal Co-ordinator Mr Raheel Mirza. The Iran Earthquake Appeal - Nottingham has already raised over £16,000 for this worthy cause, if you would like to make a donation please contact the Supporters Trust and we will put you in contact with the organisers.
