Early days yet a lot to learn Don’t share a ground

I have no computer but would like to be kept-up-to-date

Don’t assume everyone has a computer

There is too much info on computer

There should be popcorn on sale

Toilets need to be cleaner as do the seats

Both trust and club have yet to utilise fan base

I would like to see more social events

Concern that FITC fans seated near away end its nice to hear honest answers to questions put by Colin Slater on radio to a board member

Keep up the good work and thank you

Keep hold of mills once he gets us promoted and starts attracting attention

I think that the trust has done an outstanding job heading in the right direction

I've been a supporter for 30 years, until the last year NCFC have never passed on information to fans about the club. Hopefully the trust will put an end to this

I have supported Notts for many years, this is the first time I have been asked about my opinions.

Notts are excellent at shooting themselves in the foot.

Ticket office not open to renew season ticket.

Generally I don't think Notts do too bad. Is it not possible to devise a system so that adults, oaps and juveniles can use any turnstile?

No soap in the women's toilet in the main stand keep up the excellent work

My only comment is that £18 is too much. Also prices in general are too high. Please put another magpie on the trust logo

Lets have value for money on and off the field

Good to get regular e-mails letting us know what is going on

The trust needs direct contact with the club to sort out problems

None of the trust can be faulted for what they have done and what they hope to achieve. All the best! Keep up the good work

Trust should work more with lifeline I live in Northampton and go to all home games.

Try to encourage more people from Nottm in particular children to do the same.

Tickets too expensive

I think the trust is courageously tackling a very difficult job.

I have missed trust meetings and events. Too many cuts were made.

Getting involved with the trust is the best membership I could have.

Need a more varied ticketing policy for home games.

More money could be raised in the shop

Concerned that children as they cross the date line cannot afford to go to matches and join the trust

The trust is doing a good job.

The pa system is very poor.

I think the directors should be more vocal.

Fans seating in season ticket seats

Keep up the good work and help the club both to survive and move forward.

Keep up the good work

I have a great deal of faith in the way the club is going with the help of the trust. I am sure we shall be alright.

The trust should have more of a say in the playing side of the club get home supporters in the kop

I haven't joined the trust because I am not yet convinced of their long term aims.

I do not believe that the trust should own NCFC but do believe that they should have a strong voice.

It is evident that members of the trust board are working very hard to raise the profile of the trust to the fans and should be commended for all their efforts in saving Notts County FC. Keep up the good work

I am pleased that the trust has a seat on the board and through that supporters views may be heard and feedback through the representatives to the fans

Keep up the good work before administration NCFC operated like a secret society, never knowing what was going on behind the scenes. And never knowing why a particular decision had been made. My answers reflect that period of the club.

Home supporters in the kop

Value for money often depends on how the team plays

Get rid of the players and sign players that are committed to winning. Pay on results.

Trust should advertise and send information to its members regards any social functions it is holding

The trust was essential to help Notts County stay in business and stop them from folding.

Improve toilets for female fans

Trust meetings midweek. I live outside Nottinghamshire

The turnstiles on the County road do not allow you to enter the ground with a 3 year old - they have to use another turnstile.

Language of some of the fans at away games can be bad.

Lack of toilets for females or disabled in JS stand

I think the business side of Notts County should be much more professional than it is at the moment

Very impressed within a short space of time that the trust managed to raise the significant amount of cash to help save our club.

Meetings on match days

Trust could give more regular updates (no web access)

I hope the trust try to keep ticket prices down.

Notts County need to make the experience of visiting Meadow Lane are more pleasurable experience, particularly for the younger supporter.

Ticket prices need to reflect the current stature of the club.

Sort out the tannoy in the js stand

Home support in the kop stand

Whoever came up with the idea of the trust deserves a medal.

I haven't joined the trust because I cannot make midweek meetings.

We have to relaunch ourselves within a sound financial programme and plan. We have to learn

from past experiences. Our trust has to play a part in this plan for the future. Sound financial management will be essential.

The trust seems well organised and well established and may it continue to do its good work

I have followed the magpies for 57 years. I was deeply ashamed at the new regimes treatment of Billy Dearden

Will not be going down Notts until the patronising mills has gone. Everything is everyone else’s fault.

Create a pre-match atmosphere.

Create a better atmosphere at home. I am impressed with what is being done.

we need a museum to display our history. Keep up the excellent work.

well done so far, the trust has and appears to continue to do the club and its supporters proud.

The trust rep on the NCFC board should be pressing for lower match prices - particularly for concessions. All the perks in the world won't count - its match prices that really matter - and a winning team - which we haven't had for 3 years. I will renew my season ticket for next season but only if the price stays down. I believe that ticket prices should be reviewed now that the club is in the third division, and that it should make it affordable to families so that it becomes more attractive, thus increasing attendances and filling more seats, without reducing income.

Can we have some quality items in stock in the club shop. The range over the last few years has been terrible. The avec range was great - nothing fancy but decent clothing. And please can we have a gold badge back on the shirt to replace the yellow one.

Haven't joined trust because meetings are mid-week and live outside Nottinghamshire

need a wider range of goods in the club shop

I think the trust should look into launching their own clothing range for fans aged 15 to 40.

Ticket prices are too expensive

Trust should investigate the possibility of making an agreement with parents of young teenage players so that they not walk away from the club.

I think that what you have achieved is remarkable. I am impressed that you are maintaining the momentum which is very necessary. It might have been easy to believe that the club coming out of administration was the end of the story. Clearly it is only the beginning.

Toilets aren't clean

Generally doing a good job but I have reservations as to how long volunteer labour can be used as is happening in the Meadow club.

Thank you - you helped save my club!

Meadow lane should be a community hub

Trust should put info in the press, I don’t have a computer and feel left out without one

The Meadow club is good

Don’t raise prices

The trust should have a staffed office at ML to give members chance to discuss things with board.

Sure it would help increase/maintain membership

The questionnaire forces choices

Sky tv in Meadow club

The fans now know exactly what is going on hopefully next season the whole club can have a fresh new start with no financial worries and the team can really start reaching the clubs potential and rewarding its loyal fans

Best part of the club is the trust

could we have better designed shirts, they look cheap

Keep up the good work

My main gripe at present is that I have a three year old daughter who comes to some matches. I have lifted her over the turnstile but have been told she should go through the kids entrance and pay. She is 3 years old - this is not practical.

Hand dryer is cold.

Tannoy system is poor in JS stand

Keep fans informed at all times lower matchday prices give free season tickets for all children under 16

Season tickets too expensive

The ticket prices are very poor value. I don't have a computer and don't buy the NEP. Failure to honour contracts to 4 players signed by BD

Definitely need to get more supporters to join.

The away end should be for home supporters

Shirts aren't available in different sizes

More females need to be involved

Rubbish on the pitch in the second half

The stewards on the doors upstairs are not very welcoming.

Keep in more regular contact (postal/e-mail) with trust members.

Keep the fans informed

There is clearly a lot of work involved and I would like to see the trust using the local press more to pull together working parties to address specific areas of the business.

I now sincerely hope that the trust along with the blenheim consortium can take the open road to involve and communicate with the fans so we can continue to support Gary Mills his staff and the club. My answers about the trust endorse my hope for the future.

I think the trust is doing a very good job - keep up the good work

Juveniles should be let in free of charge. Lack of toilets in js stand

Little mention these days of lifeline.

Hand dryer doesn't work

Good luck next season. I believe Gary Mills is the best thing that has happened to NCFC for a long time thank you for all the hard work the trust do to help the club

There is a significant fan base throughout the country not all tapped into

Like most loyal fans I am proud to be involved in the trust and hope that further progress can be made to help County get back to division 2 in the future.

Fewer and fewer fans pay more and more for poorer and poorer football.

PA does not play rousing music, half time or after goals

We need music just before and as the teams come out

It has been a breath of fresh air

I understand your aims and wish the trust well and as a 5 year season ticket bond holder have invested heavily in the club in times of need.

You sponsored mcgoldrick and he is going?

get rid of the awful Notts County song, it is embarassing

Turn up volume of pa

Having the Meadow club done up and adding sky is just great. It is badly needed as the pubs around Notts are rubbish. I know that my much earned beer money will be going to a good cause.

Turnstile staff unhelpful and at times obstructive.
fans should be able to vote for new kits

Look into a faster system for the beer outlets like the system used by chelsea

How about a 10-12 match season ticket?

Have 10-12 match season tickets or a rolling season ticket?

Your organisation is the first sign of anything at the club being run on anything like a professional basis.

Catering - quality and service must be improved

Under the current financial arrangements the club can only aspire to be a lower div 2 or div 3 club.
£16 is too dear. Lower prices, more people, more revenue and programmes and food.

Trust positive force gigs please

Lack of proactive marketing

It is great to be a part of the club I have supported for 35 years thank you to all at the trust thanks for your efforts

Having to send youngsters through separate turnstile

Encourage children to attend matches with free tickets

Children are the future

There are no players who excite me.

I only hear about things through the newsletter or match programme. Departure of BD

News via e-mail is excellent.

The trust is doing a fantastic job.

long sleeve shirts and names printed on.

Better ball boys

Too many complimentary tickets being given out.

Have a column in the NEP.

Keep asking/listening to the fans

Also incentives to get bigger crowds home and away to lift the team. If this is not realistic then there should be more family deals as in the nep to attract more younger fans for the future

Cold water out of hot tap

Scoreboard on kop stand

PA needs upgrading and livening up

Keep up the very good work!

To achieve so much in 12 months is incredible.

The tannoy is a joke in the main stand

Entertain the crowd

Why do children and adults have to enter through different turnstiles?

Matchday admission is too much

Ticket office opening hours not good for those that work 9-5

Offer youngsters something to collect i.e. Stamps

Many congratulations and every good wishes for great success on and off the field in the future.

Would like to see more positive PR initiatives involved and more schools involved. Get the players in schools and get them into Notts

The euphoria of saving the club will soon evaporate unless the results improve and the current playing squad is incapable of challenging for promotion from div 3

Discounts for children

Toilets need renovating and to be cleaner

perception that ideas have to go through NCST if they are to be considered

Fans in season ticket seats

Free children season tickets

Best wishes to the trust. I hope that you can succeed.

Gary mills has no experience at league level

Keep up the good work.

Would have spent more money if these facilities were available

I wouldn't even mind a drum!

Well done to all involved.

The trust is a benefit to all of us and is doing an excellent job

Play music after goals

Fans smoking in the family stand

Should re-introduce bookies into the ground

I believe in the trust and thank them for their efforts

Current admission prices are too expensive

Better quality merchandise

Management by committee has never worked

Kids birthday parties

Very poor quality merchandise in club shop

large away followings should be held back in the ground for 5-10 minutes

Home fans in the kop stand

Club needs to get fans involved in marketing strategy

The sale of mark stallard

Put home fans in the kop

The trust is doing an excellent job

More incentives needed for fans i.e. Trade in old kit for new

Find way of cutting queues for catering

Lets get some quality retro kits in the club shop and sell more player worn shirts at more affordable prices. More historical Notts Videos and DVD's too. Lets get some of the archive Star Soccer and Match of the Day stuff from the 70's and 80's available for those fans who never saw it.

I will be joining ,cant make certain comments on survey, as i am now living in Ireland, but have been a Notts supporter 58yrs

I have not joined the Trust but intend to - there is no option to indicate this. Perhaps if the Trust publicised their attendance at a home game and made signing up quick and easy outside the ground it would help people get involved. The official club website should not need registration - the template is poor and too bog standard. The Trust website should have a news feed with latest stories from the official site to provide a one stop information dump for fans.
"Think should be more PRO between the club abd fans,I know season ticket holders get a discount, but why not vouchers to save 50p off progrommes.
The seats aree sometimes in a dreadful state, I know we want to make money but why not before the season reward supporters with free ticket or cut cost ticks for claening the seats etc."

"This is not a comment about the Trust but is a relevent issue.
One of the reasons that I have not purchased a season ticket over recent seasons (although I attend practically all home matches) is the farce of actually obtaining one.
I was not able to use a cheque, credit card or switch card without incurring an additional charge. This meant that I had to pay with cash! and had to make a second visit to the ground.
This may or may not be the case now but when these methods of payment can be used in over 90% of other businesess I was left frustrated and was frankly not prepared to go through this process again.

Also, with regard to prices in the club shop and the catering area, I would rate them both as average (i.e neither good nor poor). This category was unavailable in the questionaire."

"£14 to see a Notts county match is utterly ridiculous.
Nottingham Forest students fans get a season ticket for £80 in division 1 and we get a division 3 ticket for £120, the maths doesnt add up.
More people would come to games and buy season tickets if they were cheaper, and therefore there would be a better atmosphere.
"
Tell Thompson to get a decent haircut
"I get the impression that members of the trust board find out lots of informaton about the club, which the majority of fans never find out.

I would like the club to come out and state categorically that we are staying at Meadow Lane - and shut Colin Slaters rumours up!

Overall I think the trust do an excellent job."

"I have stated this before, the first thing that should be done is get the club shop on the net and advertise world wide, you are not making enough of the fact that we are the oldest Footballl club in the world.

I dont get to the ground as often as I would like due to bad health, but I will certainly keep my Trust membership up. Some questions I had to put a tick in or the e.mail would not go ie. I never go to away matches even when I was a season ticket holder. At the next survey you should make allowances for this

Think I remember the trust saying now we are part owners of the club it won;t be able to do things without involving us. a small item but can;t remember anyone talking to us about the badge change, will the new strip be bought in again without us seeing what it looks like.

notts have always been guilty of looking after eveyone except their loyal suppoters. and by that i mean thay give free tickets out to people that have NO intention of ever going to meadow lane if thay had to pay. regular fans have to fork out alot of money, while a man utd/liverpool ect fan in most local pubs have got a couple of FREE tickets for the next NOTTS home game.and that is not on! it should be stopped. you ask any fan at meadow lane and i bet thay know someone that gets FREE tickets.

I am really pleased that the Trust has played the biggest part in the clubs survival and gets stronger in keeping Notts in the Football League. This Club needs to survive and the Trusts Foundation will ensure it does.

"An excellent job is being done, I am proud to talk to my Chelsea/Liverpool supporting colleagues about the Trust and what it has achieved. The signing of Stevie Scoffham amazed them and I was proud to say I was part of that.

Keep up the good work!!"

The supporters need to know what the near future goals are. Both members and non-members.

Why was there no Life line awareness when renuing season tickets
How much to pay for life membership?

"I have already completed a questioaire and sent it via snail mail. I have had an additional thought. Mansfield Town have just announced that they are changing the area designated for away fans - to be implemented this season. Why can't Notts chage too? 1. The family stand could accomodate away fans (then they won't be able to see the score board) The Kop could take take vocal fans from the squirrel stand or 2 The squirrel could be designated for away fans rather like at Chelsea and the Notts fans could make some noise and support the Team in the Kop. Any thoughts?

I was not allowed to enter number 1 for quality of catering

"The Trust seems to doing fine, the fact that we have a club is perhaps the best indication of the Trust's work.

Re question 2 I intend to buy a season ticket this year, obviously I cannot renew a ticket I did not have.

With regard to ticket prices for a period of this season I was unemployed and had two children at University and three at school/college. The discount tickets have been a massive help. However now I am in employment and with no children working though one should have graduated I could be paying £18 + £8 + whatever it costs for a 16 year old. Often this year it cost me £41 fo a game and the games were not worth that outlay.

Perhaps in future some help for families, I know virtually everything you try is open to fraud.

Cheers

"We need the trust to keep simple, clear coherent mesages coming. Options to meet now and then are good as they keep interest and allow diologue with grass roots supporters.

I have reservations at the trust becoming a major share holder. Are we able to take on such a burden? Do we have the capacity, money and expertise to protect and help the club grow - stay away from the 'rocks' of financial disaster?"

Thank God the Trust was formed. Long may it continue to thrive. So proud to be a member. Must make representations on improving the atmosphere ie re Utilising the KOP. And renaming one of the Stands after the legend that was Lawton (and get it opened by Jackie Sewell!)

"I have just become a member of the Trust today, so 44 and 45 are difficult to answer as I currently fall in the middle of both situations.

I've admired the Trust's work since inception, but what it really needs to do is try and bring atmosphere to Meadow Lane. It really does depress me (and many others I know) looking around and seeing vast swathes of empty seats gathering dust, where at the very least we could be getting the future generation of Notts fans in for free to experience the game.

It's an old adage, but nobody benefits financially or otherwise from an empty seat. I think the Trust could work to try and improve attendances for the club, as clearly the team suffers when there's no atmosphere in the ground (sadly occurs quite often).

Cheers."

Update the website more regularly and feel matters on the field could also be discussed ie the mass clear out of players etc......Otherwise i feel you are doing a fab job and its reasuring to know that people who feel so strongly about the club , like myself, are representing us at board level. Keep up the fantastic work. You should be very proud of yourselves because without you i may well not have a football team to follow. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

IS THE TRUST CONCERNED ABOUT THE LACK OF HOME SUPPORT IN THE SPION KOP STAND?
"Important for supporters who have emigrated to be able to keep in touch via e-mail. Would help the process if the e-mails relating to match day activity could be sent out on a Wednesday or Thursday as when I attend a game I have to 'set off' on a Thursday night.
Communication from the Supporter director is especially welcomed - it feels like a message direct from the board."
Just wondered what efforts have been made to have kept informed people overseas who donated money towards helping saving the club?
I am concerned as a Trust member that decisions appear to have been made about the new kit and changing of the club crest without consultation of each member of the Trust. I would of thought that seeing as it the fans who are going to purchase replica kits and therefore bring revenue into the club that a short listed vote could have been carried out through the website.

I think the trust need to consider employing some one to deal with support issues.
"The Trust needs to get more comment/opinion from both the Board and the Manager about future plans, team building etc, and relay it to the fans.
Secondly the form was not very well formatted for the internet, with some of the questions being irrelevant i.e. if you don't attend away matches how can you comment on the atmosphere? but the questionarrie still wanted an answer !!!!!!"
Dont try and big every thing up also i remember reading some write business plan speak tosh in a programe about tring to get more cost effective players or some thing like players are people not comodities !

The most positive aspect to be connected with the club in years.
"I sit in the Jimmy Sirrel stand, and there are numerous seats that are broken, and many seats are covered in bird droppings. This needs to be addressed as supporters do not want to sit in such conditions.
Also I feel that complete review of our pricing structure should be conducted. Dropping in price may well encourage more bums on seats.
It is also about time that season ticket holders should be given some kind of benefit as at the moment we are totally ignored and taken advantage of. For example we should be able to renew our ticket at a discounted price without a time restriction. The club has said that ticket sales are vital yet alot of us cannot fork out the cash by the dates they specify. "

THE REASON I GIVE 5 TO THE ABOVE IS BECAUSE I DONT LIKE THE WAY THAT THE MESSAGE BOARD IS SET OUT [ITS NOT CLEAR ENOUGH] THAT IS WHY I DONT THINK MANY PEOPLE GO ON IT. THIS IS A SMALL MOAN BUT OTHERWISE THE TRUST HAS DONE A BRILL JOB

"re foul and abusive language - while I recognise this may offend some - it is a football club and should still honour its roots as a means to release some tension
for the common man/woman generated by a week of hard work - this results in frustration and bad language - I've heard it all my life and it has not adversely affected me.

Well done the trust keep up the hard work."
"After re-reading my responses they seem to me to be quite negative. Perhaps a reflection of the last three extremely disappointing seasons. However the cost of attending Notts home games (mostly inherited from the bungling of certain ""gentlemen"" previously ""in charge"") certainly is not matched by the level of entertainment in any degree. Whilst old diehards will continue to keep the faith as The Pie would have it I doubt whether new supporters will be attracted... Don't really know how The Trust can help the present board wash away the contempt / incompetence of previous administrations but having A VOICE is a start.

At present, with the summer approaching think hope lies with NCST & Gary Mills. Roll on Rochdale away.

PS
Is the question about attending that west bridgford club a joke ??"

"difficult to comment on the questions about match day because I haven't been regularly for a couple of years now (live abroad). Will be back for the oldham game so we shall see. I know ticket prices are putting people off. Mum and dad did not renew season tickets this year because of prices and uncertainty over future of the club.

need to start promoting notts in schools. I remember about 20 years ago getting a fun bag of a music tape, program etc etc when we went with school."
You ask about facilities at the club, I with my dad are both season ticket holders and sit in the family stand A) for the the view and B) the price & people we sit with. On matchday I try and encourage friends to join me, they ask can we get a pint at half time?? the answer NO!!! we try and go into the main stand for a quick drink but are told this is now against the rules as we may not return to the Family stand, so much for trusting fans!! This is a major floor with the family stand as the club are missing out on revenue I am not alone in my frustration on this one. EIther the club starts letting people go to the family stand for a drink or serve alchohol in this stand i.e access to the Meadow club or seperate area.
Doing a great job
"Lets have a better/louder tannoy system to improve the atmosphere. Wake some of the old-timers up! I doubt whether its loud enough at present in JS stand.
Get a new, more dynamic announcer. Nearly every away ground this year has been better in this respect..even Colchester. Get some new records and let the team run out to some exciting music, not some old tune.Build up the atmos. before kick-off. Lets have a tune when we score!(not We will rock you)!"

Doing a worthwhile job

The trust should be proud in achieving it`s initial objectives the acid test is to continue to keep the momentum going!!

I find that I cannot log in - using my valid user name and password which, when queried, you confirm are correct, so, I don't bother trying now.

There should be a regular email of newsletters. I don't attend every match and have no idea when news/website is updated.

thanks

Q20 My answer includes what I pay on the gate for my ticket - I wasn't sure if the question referred only to other money spent in addition to ticket price. Without admission my spending would be under £10 per match
The club still appears reluctant to try all they can to entice people to eat and drink at the ground before and after matches. The Oriental suite is a superb facility but usually empty. The facilities need to be better publicised and perhaps people given a free / special offer so they can see for themselves what is on offer.

The Ladies toilets need proper facilities, i.e. toilet with seats, sanitary bin, watse bins and soap either antibacterial or antibiotic.
